Second and Third Class students were excited to welcome Kelley Lamm-Montgomery and Olive, her bulldog, a few weeks ago as they shared their sweet story of courage, “Oh Olive! Oh No! A Thunderstorm.” Thank you for visiting us and a special thank you to Rene Knott of KSDK Channel 5 for spending time at our school. We are happy to have a copy of the book in our library and students have been checking out to enjoy at home. Thank you for a pawsome morning!
“The Academy of the Sacred Heart truly does feel like home. The small class sizes, the love from the teachers can be felt throughout the entire school,” says Chelsea Haynes, Fox 2 News.
We are grateful to Ms. Haynes for spending time meeting students, learning about our history and discovering more about our academic program! To watch her School Spotlight segment, click here.
We are very excited to welcome Colleen Dulle back to the Academy for an evening book discussion and signing opportunity on Thursday, October 16 at 7 p.m. in Cribbin Hall Library. Her book, Struck Down, Not Destroyed: Keeping the Faith as a Vatican Reporter, can be pre-ordered from her Penguin Random House or Amazon or purchased that evening.
The Academy was thrilled to receive a $10,000 grant from Gateway To Innovation (G2I) as part of their community giveback program. Their yearly conference for technology professionals returns proceeds to the worthy causes that advance the future of technology. This year, G2I awarded $300,000 to St. Louis area organizations and we are grateful to be among the award recipients once again.

As we continue through the busyness of May, Mr. Horner eagerly anticipates celebrations and milestones and looks ahead to the 2024-2025 academic year. Below, he shares plans and exciting initiatives.
I often consider May the highlight of the year. Yes, it is certainly busy, but more so it offers culminations, celebrations, and joy-filled experiences, from Mission Day to Field Day, May Crowning to Prize Ceremonies. The Eighth Class Graduation Dinner, Maypole and Graduation are milestones.
May is also the time when early plans for the next year come into clearer focus. I am pleased to share the following developments.
